Grass Valley at Night
While walking through Grass Valley for Cornish Christmas I was taking in some of the Christmas window displays in some of the stores and some of the neon signs that illuminate Grass Valley at night. A couple of days later I returned in the middle of the night to find the streets deserted, and the downtown lights warming the cold air with their glow.
Notable highlights included the neon signs of the Del Oro Theater, the Packard carpet and vinyl company and the Nevada Club. Shop windows that caught my eye included Yuba Blue, the Red Crow gallery and the Teezme clothing company. Yuba Blue can always be counted on for a good display because of the way they paint the window glass giving it a translucent colorful glow.
